3. BMS Function
3.1 Cell and Battery pack voltage detection
Function of cell and battery pack OV and UV alarm and protection. The voltage detection accuracy of the cell is ± 10mV at 0 ºC to 45 ºC, ± 20mV at - 20 ºC to 0 ºC, and ± 20mV at 45 ºC to 70 ºC.
3.2 Battery pack charge and discharge current detection
Function of battery pack over current alarm and protection, short circuit protection. The current detection accuracy is less than 2%.
3.3 Temperature detection for cell, environment and MOS
Function of OT/UT alarm and protection for cell, environment and MOS.
6 channels of temperature monitoring, including 4 channels of cell temperature sensor, 1 channel of ambient temperature sensor, 1 channel of MOS temperature sensor, with temperature detection accuracy of ± 2 ºC.
3.4 Battery Capacity and cycles counts
The real-time calculation function of the remaining battery, learn the total capacity of charging and discharging at one time, and the accuracy of capacity estimation is better than 5%. The number of charging and discharging cycles can be recorded automatically.
3.5 Charge and discharge MOSFET on/off switch
This product has advantage of low internal resistance and high current performance which has the optimized design of zero switch on and high charging withstand voltage for the large capacitive load in backup power application.
3.6 Equalization function of single cell
The charge equalization strategy can be set flexibly which can improve the service time and cycle life of the battery effectively.
3.7 LED Status
LED indicate the remaining capacity, working mode and alarm protection status of the battery
3.8 ON/OFF and reset switch
Intelligent switch design which can start the system manually when the power is off and shut down manually when battery is not in discharging mode. Long press the button to reset the BMS and clear all kinds of abnormal states.
3.9 RS485 Communication port
Battery pack running status and parameter setting can be monitored by PC through RS485
3.10 Battery parameter setting
All battery parameters such as single cell overvoltage and undervoltage, battery pack overvoltage and undervoltage, charging overcurrent, discharge overcurrent, cell high and low temperature, environment high and low temperature, equalization strategy, battery serial number, battery capacitation control
3.11 Other Function control
Discharge and charge MOS on or off, current limiting function switch, buzzer alarm switch, forced sleep switch, can be set through the upper computer.
3.12 Current limiter
10A charging current limiter which can be turned on/off by monitor software.
3.13 Hardware watchdog function
The BMS design is equipped with a unique hardware watchdog protection circuit to ensure BMS operate safely and reliably at worse conditions
3.14 Data logger
BMS can record and store the running data in real time for battery system monitoring, analysis and maintenance.
3.15 BMS program update
BMS program can be updated through serial port
