Expanding Production Line

1. Equipment Application
The production line is used for automatic continuous production of battery plate.

2. Equipment Features
2.1 The production line can complete all the technological processes, such as unwinding the lead strip, expanding, pasting, cutting, quick drying and stacking;
2.2 The expander adopts continuous rotation and rolling cutting, and the expanding part adopts silent chain. Therefore, the whole machine has low operating noise, and the speed can reach 40m/min or 500~700 pieces/min. Moreover, the operation is reliable and maintenance is convenient.
2.3 The continuous grid production process greatly improves the production automation level. The whole production line only needs 4 ~ 5 operators (including 3 operators for pallet loading and unloading), which reduces the production cost of batteries and improves the grid uniformity.
2.4 The whole process is cold working, pollution-free and lead-free loss;
2.5 The whole line adopts PLC control, advanced and reliable.

5. Details of Each Machine in the Production Line
5.1 Unwinding Machine and Tension Table
The unwinding machine is mainly composed of unwinding platform, strip reel fixed stand, turnover roller and speed control device. The unwinding platform is driven by a reduction motor and a pair of gears, which drives the material roll placed on it to rotate and unload. The strip reel fixed stand is fixed on the unwinding platform. After the lead tape material inner hole is covered on the strip reel fixed stand, the strip reel is radially tensioned through four horizontal supports uniformly distributed in the periphery. The role of the turnover roller is to turn over the lead strip (vertical) out of the material roll 90°, for the use of the expander. The angle of the roller relative to the horizontal position can be adjusted, so that the lead strip can turn over smoothly during the movement. The speed control device mainly consists of swing arm, angle displacement sensor and approach switch. The function of this device is to make the unwinding speed of the unwinding machine match the speed of the expander.

5.2 Lead Strip Cold Press Welding Machine
The machine is mainly composed of frame, shearing device, hydraulic system, guide device, die base, die and electronic control system. Easy to operate, reliable welding, welding process is without lead smoke and other harmful air, energy saving and environmental protection.

5.3 Lead Strip Buffer Machine
The machine can buffer the lead strip with sufficient length to realize the non-stop operation of the whole line during the period of using up the material reel of the unwinding machine, reloading the lead strip and lead strip connection. The device consists of button station, lead strip guide system, lead strip drive system, central turntable, external turntable, lead strip winding system, tension control system and electric control system.

5.4 Expander
The expanding machine is mainly composed of lead strip inlet guide device, mesh rolling cutting device, expanding device, grid leveling device, edge rolling cutting device, shaping device, stretching device, air drying system, edge cutting device, lubrication system and safety protection system.
The main role of the expanding machine is to use the specially designed rolling cutter set according to the mesh size required by the user to cut out rib on the lead strip, and then stretch along the width direction and roll cut the reserved frame, and after shaping, stretching and air drying, finally form the size of the grid required by the user.
5.5 Lug Roll Cutting Machine
The main function of the lug roll cutting machine is to remove the excess parts outside the battery grid lug, and to roll and flatten the bulge parts which have not been removed and play the role of intermediate guidance.
The lug roll cutting machine adopts continuous rotary roller cutting and rolling, with low operating noise; since the back end is equipped with swing rod mechanism, the running speed can be adjusted in real time according to the whole line speed. The highest speed can reach 40m/min, and the operation is reliable and maintenance is convenient.
The lug roll cutting machine is mainly composed of grid inlet guide device, lug roller cutter device, rolling device and swing rod mechanism.
5.6 Drum Pasting Machine
The pasting machine is mainly composed of lower pasting paper unwinding device, inlet end guide device, head assembly, paper roller assembly, upper pasting paper unwinding device, body assembly and drum cleaning device, etc. This machine is designed for the production line of battery expanded grid, suitable for the pasting of continuous grid. Compared with the traditional belt pasting machine, this machine has the following features: the accuracy of pasting thickness and the pasting weight is high, which avoids the impact of the belt thickness wear on the pasting quality; The steel drum is used to replace the pasting belt, so as to avoid the cost of changing the pasting belt frequently, save the time of machine adjustment, and reduce the waste produced by machine adjustment. Compact structure and reliable operation.

5.7 Cutting Machine
The cutting machine is mainly composed of tensioning roller, cutter roller, splicing device, conveying device and speed control device.
The tensioning roll is arranged at the lead grid entrance. By adjusting the position, certain tensioning force can be generated in the lead grid to improve the dimensional accuracy of the roll cutting. The knife hob is composed of the upper and lower rolls. The cutter roller is equipped with cutting knife in both vertical and horizontal directions. A pair of gears with the same number of teeth driven by the frequency conversion reduction motor drives the upper and lower cutter roller to rotate. The splicing device is composed of splicing roller, conveyor belt and plate pressing roller, etc. Its function is to guide the plate from the cutting roller smoothly on the conveying chain to the flash drying furnace. The transmission device is mainly composed of CVT (continuously variable transmission) and left and right transmission chains. The input and output shaft of the CVT drives the left and right transmission chains respectively. The transmission ratio of the CVT is adjusted according to different plate sizes and shapes, so that the plates on the left and right transmission chains are aligned before entering the dryer. The speed control device is mainly composed of swing arm, angle displacement sensor and approach switch. The function of the device is to make the cutting speed of the cutting machine match the speed of the pasting machine.
The biggest feature of roll cutting machine is simple and reliable structure, high cutting precision and high production efficiency.

5.8 Flash Drying Machine
The machine is mainly composed of frame, burner, plate conveyor,   air-blast system, exhaust system and electric control system. Through heating and air blowing system, the airflow is evenly blown to the two surfaces of the plate, drying quickly and evenly; adjustable burner can be automatically adjusted to maintain the set air temperature; plate conveyor driven by variable frequency motor, speed can be stepless adjusted to match the linear speed.
Operating temperature range: 150 ~ 240ºC
Temperature control accuracy: set value ±5ºC
5.9 Stacking Machine
The machine is designed based on the principle of vacuum conveying. The core of the machine includes two perforated vacuum belts driven by motors. The belt is connected with the vacuum system. The air between the belt and the plate is drawn out through the holes in the belt to form the vacuum, so that the plate is adsorbed on the belt, and then transferred to the stacking station.
The stacking station includes two sets of relatively independent automatic stacking systems. Adjustable vibration devices integrated on the stacking formwork is adopted to complete the neat grid, without mechanical method is adopted to prevent damage to the plate. The stacking platform is placed on a height decreasing mechanism. As the plate falls continuously, the height of the stacking platform automatically lowers accordingly, so as to ensure that the plate falls from the belt to the stacking height is basically the same. The machine has two stacking stations (two stacking platforms in each group), working alternately, one group stacking, and the other group sending out the stacked pieces (the number of pieces reaches the set value) for manual collection, thus achieving continuous high-speed production.
The machine adopts PLC control, the operator can easily set its operating parameters through the operation panel.
The biggest feature of this machine is that the plate is not subjected to mechanical force and does not damage the plate; there is no need for special equipment to keep mechanical synchronization with the whole line, simple mechanical structure, strong adaptability, high productivity.
